Los Angeles -- As we get closer to the award season with the AFI Film Festival and the American Film Market there is a quaint local film festival here in Los Angeles that is truly one of those venues that whose contribution to the arts is on par with the more established venues in town such as the AFI Film Showcase and the Los Angeles Film Festival.
Yet this is one of those events that looks beyond the vanity and publicity that is the hallmark public events such as these, where the auteur speaks politically correct and really says nothing yet says something.
It truly is a festival dedicated toward making a difference for the better through the lens of the moving image.
According to their mission statement they put a premium on the messenger delivering their message in a cultural diverse environment that welcomes social understanding. In other words the films favored are those that promote harmony, understanding and basically what the late Rodney King said "Can we just try to get along."
Let's take a look at the line up.
